All modules on this programme are delivered online through a range of engaging teaching methods. On this subject pathway, you will study:

  • Pre-Masters Academic English Skills

    Designed to meet the needs of students who intend to study at postgraduate level at a UK university, but require further language development, this module focuses on rapidly developing your language skills. You will also gain the language-related academic skills that will enable you to achieve your academic potential at Teesside University.

  • Research Project Proposal (Critical Approaches)

    Specifically designed for students coming from diverse educational backgrounds, this module aims to build the reading and research skills you’ll need to successfully study a Masters degree. Additionally, this module will allow you to develop the necessary presentation, communication and group work skills to progress to the degree of your choice with confidence.

  • Strategic Management & Organisations

    The central aim of this module is to introduce the students to the broad concepts of organisational structure, leadership, culture, professional development, recruitment and selection in organisations with a strong focus on the underlying theoretical underpinnings of the same. Students will develop a strong engagement with contemporary case studies, enabling application of strategic management theories to practice and apply a range of tools and techniques to support strategic decision making of organisations to respond to the rapidly changing macro and microenvironments.

  • Managerial Economics

    This module will provide students with a sound understanding of theories, models and concepts in economics and the relationship between microeconomics and macroeconomics. Students will be introduced to a variety of contemporary business scenarios. They will be supported in their exploration of the role and purpose of microeconomic and macroeconomic policy and its impact on the behaviour and performance of the business activity and economic systems.

  • Internship (for those studying the Integrated Internship programme)

    Related to your field of study, internships allow you to work on tailored projects that meet your specific career goals and allow you to gain valuable work experience before you start postgraduate study. Internships are available with a wide range of global companies and you benefit from having a dedicated internship coach to help you get the most out of your experience.
