Make Teesside your future

Your future career

Benefit from a future-focused, workplace-ready learning experience that combines employability skills with practical learning opportunities.

At Teesside, we make sure you are fully prepared for your degree. Once you progress to your degree at the University, you will benefit from programmes that prepare you for the competitive graduate market through opportunities to participate in the workplace before you’ve even finished your degree.

You can choose to join an embedded work placement as part of your degree at Teesside, and many of these courses offer access to simulated real-life work environments. You will finish university as a highly employable graduate ready to embark on a career you will love.

Your future home

Where you choose to live during your studies is an important decision, but it doesn't have to be a stressful one.

Save time and money paying for transport and choose to live in student accommodation — an affordable, popular option among our students. Living in student accommodation means you have access to everything you need to succeed as you study, whilst living close to other students from all around the world.

If you would like to arrange your own accommodation, there are many nearby towns that offer something for everyone. Whether you want to live near the sea, in a historical town or in lively Middlesbrough, there are many options for you to choose from. All within our 50-mile distance requirement.

Your future experience

We want to make sure you feel part of the wider university from the moment you join Teesside so, at the International Study Centre, we work hard to make sure your progression from your pathway programme onto your degree is as seamless as possible.

For our International Foundation Year (2.5 terms), International Year One and Accelerated Pre-Masters programmes, we offer an integrated CAS (iCAS) so you can study for your pathway programme and university degree with only one visa application. This will save you both time and money, and it means there is no requirement for you to return home between your programmes if you don’t want to.

When you enrol on a degree at Teesside University after completing your chosen pathway programme, you may also benefit from the Teesside University Advance scheme. This scheme provides digital equipment to aid you in your degree-level learning. You will receive an Apple iPad and keyboard, credit for learning materials, and lecture-capture technology (note that eligibility criteria apply).

Your future plan

Planning for your future means being financially conscious. Teesside University offers affordable tuition fees, and the cost of living in Middlesbrough is considerably lower than other areas of the UK.

Teesside is a single-site campus, meaning that everything is located within walking distance in one safe location. More than £270 million has been invested in the campus over recent years, so you will benefit from a world-class, digitally enabled learning environment, including:
